Electrical disconnect box located inside Smoke shop store is blocked by glass display shelf. (Employee removed shelf and products off the wall away from the disconnect box. No CofO posted on the wall of the business. Wood trim for wall offset is falling off the ceiling. Store (tenant) owner changed the floor plan of the store by removing a wall and re-building a wall further back approximately 12 ft back from the initial wall. Tenant created a smaller storage space in the back of the unit and installed electrical junction box and added electrical wiring connecting with wire nuts minus the junction box. Outlet located on the ceiling above the bathroom. Plug in the outlet. Not sure what the plug is feeding. Bathroom light globe missing, GFCI not working properly. Electrical pipe in the bathroom wall is poking out of the wall and stuffed with toilet paper. The same pipe is poking out of the wall in the kitchen area also stuffed with tissue. This pipe needs to be trimmed back and capped off properly. 2 carports added on to parcel 13705112B with out permits. Air conditioning unit located on top of the roof of commercial building is a newer air conditioning unit. Smoke shop has numerous signs attached to the outside of the business at the front end of the store advertising ATM, CDB, and various products sold in the store. Torn parts of a sign that read "NOW OPEN" is still hanging from the front and side of the building. | |
| 04/12/2023 | COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up | Passed | Met w/Smoke Shop Owner regarding the violations. 1) Bathroom light globe installed. 2) Pipe in wall removed and hole patched up. 3) Refuse in the back is neatly stacked and collected on Thursdays. 4) Signs removed off the building and 1 sign on each side of the building is left on the building. Reminded owner Permits are required for the signs. 5) Owner still working at obtaining building permits. He is working with the Architect and the property owner to obtain permits. Will fu in 30 days. |
