We were not notified that an inspection was happening. We previously spoke to TEP in person, they came out to the site and gave us instructions to build around their pole with a clearance of 5 feet to allow access. We also went to the city help desk in person and were told what we were installing did not require any permit. We are installing a removable steel fence with a concrete cinder block foundation. We are unsure if this inspection is part of our existing permit for our ADU which process has started recently. We are installing this fence for security purposes as the foot traffic of non residents has increased drastically in the the easement behind our property in the last year as well as criminal activity and thefts, documented with TPD, in our subdivision. Other residents have taken action to install similar deterrents to stop the flow of traffic and access to their yards.
