When we purchased this property, we were not aware that this location is not zoned for auto repair. We did not know that C1 would not allow auto repair. We learned this when we tried to renew our license at this new location and it was initially denied. This location has been an auto repair shop for the last thirty years and was sold to us as a turn-key auto repair shop. The gentleman with the city who helped me was able to approve our license based on this information. We just renewed our license for our third year at this location. Where we need help, I'll now explain. I wanted to give you a little back story. We are currently financed through the previous property owner through an owner financing agreement with the stipulation that we obtain our own financing. Our bank is concerned with the zoning issue and is requesting a letter from you, the city, stating that we are allowed to continue our business at this location or we have to try to get the location rezoned, which I'm afraid may be totally out of our means.
