Permits

Date - 08/17/2026 6:41 a.m.
Number Of Permits - (1)
Permit Status Apply Date Expired Date Unit Type Description
TC-RES-0724-03975 Expired 07/08/2024 N/A Residential Building - One or Two Family Add 24 inches if 2 inch square welded wire on top of existing 5 ft block wall at alley...see lower right of Google map photo, to prevent anyone from accessing pool and drowning. Also when we purchased home 3 months ago, there is a pre-existing horizontal wood slat topper between neighbor's backyard and ours, extending on alley side to center backyard where pool is fence off from remaining backyard..see lower left of Google map. This is just under 31 inches on top of our existing 5 ft block wall. There is a gap between slats and can easily be seen through. We would like to keep, as it looks nice..see photo and we have a large dog that can easily jump 5 feet over. We would like a retroactive permit, as I am uncertain if one was obtained by previous owner. Also homes on Malvern with shared alley have toppers well over 8 ft, see photos. There is no difference in ground elevation. Perhaps they were grandfathered in, but we respectfully request approval for the 24 inch topper bringing the back alley femce to 7 ft. We have been most distressed having lost all in the Paradise California Wildfire 5 years ago, spending 4 days moving here from Washington only to have the city refuse to turn on our water for four excruciating days. Please consider granting permits for the above. I previously applied but am technologically challenged at almost 60, having to do this all on my phone
