The property is listed as a non contributor but the inventory form notes the property was exposed unpainted burnt adobe which is how the building appeared before work started. Some time in the last 3 months the exposed burnt adobe (which was compatible) to the development zone was painted a stark white with black trim, the architectural iron work striped from the building, this removal has exposed sliding glass doors and windows. The work has changed the house from a compatible non-contributor to a highly intrusive building that now prominently features elements that were not allowable in the zone but covered. The work violates multiple sections of the design standards and is not just a color it is a significant change of material and form. The paint needs to be removed |
